My device has trouble being picked up on USB3.0 ports

| We've seen some issues with Mad Catz products on Windows 8 when plugged through the UDB3.0 port:
Solution 1:Issue: In an Intel® 7 Series Chipset platform with Microsoft Windows 8* installed, some USB 3.0 devices are only working at USB 2.0 speeds.
Cause: The most common issue: The port might be routed to the ECHI controller instead of the xHCI controller. Check in Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus controllers.
Another possible issue is that some 3.0 USB devices are not compatible with Windows 8* USB 3.0 driver.
Solution: Upgrade the BIOS to latest version. Get the latest version BIOS from your OEM. If the BIOS upgrade does not fix the issue, set the xHCI mode setting in BIOS to enable.
If your xHCI mode setting is already enabled - try disabling it. Your USB3.0 ports will only run at USB2.0 speeds but this also can fix connection issues.

Solution 2:Uninstall Intel® USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver
To do this follow this guide: http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/usb3/sb/CS-033870.htm
To check whether you are using a Intel® USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver, try following this guide: http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/usb3/sb/CS-033074.htm
Solution 3:Try updating your motherboard USB Chipset driver.
- Find out your motherboard model number.
- One way is to take the side off your PC and visually check the model number printed directly onto the motherboard.
- Another way is to press Start and type > [system information]. This will bring up your PC System Information. Check the BaseBoard Manufacturer and the BaseBoard Model. These will be the same as the visual check
- Go to the motherboard manufacturer site and download the USB Chipset Driver for your model. Some times the only option is an all-in-one driver which should be fine to use.
- Once the chipset drivers are installed try using your Mad Catz product again.
If nothing works, please take a note of your motherboard model number and submitt a ticket at http://support.madcatz.com/Tickets/Submit where one of our agents will be able to help you.
