F-16A IIAF/IRIAF Pak 1/31/11
-- For FULL-4 Merged SF2 (Prefered) and/or SF2:I =ONLY!!!=
This package is an "Almost If..." aircraft, representing F-16A Falcons, had they actually been delivered to the Imperial Iranian Air Force, as orderd during the Shah's reign.
It contains 2 skins (actualy the same skin used twice), created from a partial template of the Stock SF2:I F-16A Netz, and decals to replicate the speculative IIAF and Islamic Republic's AF F-16s.
You =MUST= have a Full-4 Merged SF2 install, WITH SF2:I (or better yet -a stand along Iran/Iraq mods folder, built FROM a Full-4 Merged exe), otherwise you will NOT be able to access the needed aircraft lod and cockpit files.
By making use of the new 'StartDate=' feature in the textureset inis, the aircraft's marking to switch from IIAF to IRIAF, based on the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran.
The aircraft makes use of all stock, In-Game items for weapons, droptanks and whatnots, simplifying installation and reducing package size. (Of course, you still need the Full-4 Merged Install and/or SF2:I or the Iran/Iraq stand-alone, built from the aforementioned Full4 Merged)
As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs, to make it a LOT easier to install.

To Install:
As always suggested, unzip the "iran_viper_pak.zip" to a temp folder or your desktop or somewhere else that easy to find.
The, simply copy/paste, move, ship in container; however you want to do it, the "Objects" folder directely OVER the existing /Objects folder in you SF2 or SF2I mods folder. When asked "Overwrite??, just say yes.
This package is already broken down in the /Aircraft/F-16_IRAN /Decals sub-folders that have all the bits and pieces in their correct locations. Anyother way of doing thing is just fucking lazy.

Other Notes and Nonsense:
Those wishing more information, you can Google "iran F-16". The Shah ordered 300-odd; obviously never delivered. Which was fortunate for Israel, as 70-odd of them were the first delivered the IDFAF.
It'd be interesting to speculate on what might have happened, IF these Vipers had been delivered to Iran. However, given the historical events; when the clerics took over they pretty much striped the military to almost nothing - so even if they had been around, they'd have had the same difficulties in serviceablity/operational ability as the Phantoms and Tomcats. Oddly enough, most of the support infrastructure (ground equipment) was already in Iran, and eventually found it's way to Pakistan, who had F-16s, but was also under US embargo at the time.
For the Viper purists, yes; there ARE (or would have been) differences between the A-models that would have been delivered to Iran, and the A-models as delivered to Israel. I just simply didn't want to fuck around changing stuff; "keep it as simple and easy as possible".
