= For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =
Here we have the BRAND NEW release of the Luftwaffe's most famous jet fighter!
Supplied are skins for the following units:
EJG 2
JG 7
Skins are in jpg format. NEW damage textures are in DDS. Decal randomization is TRUE. My original 1stGen Hangar and Loading screens have been rebuilt into SF2 format, and are also jpgs.
Everything is inlcluded (excepting guns and bombs -- you should have these already).
Canopy opens/closes with the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/0.
When in-game, you'll see:
Me-262A Schwalbe (V2K)
That will differentiate THIS 262 from any others you may (or may not) have.
As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!!
Good Hunting!!
------------------------------------------------
=TO INSTALL:
As I always reccomend, unzip the "sf2_ww2_eto_me262_pak.zip" to a temp folder or your desktop or somewhere else that's easy to find
Then, simply, copy/paste the Objects folder supplied directly =OVER= your existing /Objects folder in your WW2 ETO-centric Mods Folder.
Copy/Paste the supplied Sounds folder directly OVER your existing /Sounds folder
You'll probably be asked "OVERWRITE?", just say Yes.
I've already seperated out the various folders (Aircraft, Decals, etc), so they'll drop right where they're supposed to be.
----------------------------
Notes:
I repainted the gunsight, as it needed brightening up; this is NOT to be construed as historically accurate, but due to extingencies of Old Age.
The 4 cannon have been assigned to gun groups:
GunGroup 1 = lower cannon
GunGroup 2 = upper cannon
So, make sure you have a key assigned for it.
I'm also NOT the least bit happy with the engine sounds, so reverted BACK to the stock 3W jetengine. Hopefully, someone will make, or find!, a better one that dosen't doppler off the scale or sound too overspun.
A "jumo.wav" is included, for those to experimentate with.
I actually believe that this is the 262A-1a Jabo, but for all intents and purposes, fits the A-1 fighter as well.
If you all are nice enough and request politely, I'm sure Coupi might share his skin templates -- there's other units that need doing! -cough- JV-44 -cough-
---------------
Credits:
Veltro2K for the aircraft
Coupi for skins and decals
Kesselbrut for the cockpit
??? for destroyed model; from 1stGen WW2 Terrains
??? for the jumo wav; renamed for one by Spillone? Ravenclaw? somebody I disremember (for a 1950 jet)
Me, for some decals, some ini work, screens, and general "what do I do with this?" testing and such like.
