Notes and limitations.
The CF-105 (from Wikipedia):
"The Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow was a delta-winged interceptor aircraft, designed and built by Avro Aircraft Limited (Canada) in Malton, Ontario, as the culmination of a design study that began in 1953. Considered to be both an advanced technical and aerodynamic achievement for the Canadian aviation industry, the CF-105 held the promise of Mach 2 speeds at altitudes exceeding 50,000 ft (15,000 m), and was intended to serve as the Royal Canadian Air Force's (RCAF) primary interceptor in the 1960s and beyond.
Not long after the 1958 start of its flight test program, the development of the Arrow (including its Orenda Iroquois jet engines) was abruptly and controversially halted before the project review had taken place, sparking a long and bitter political debate.
The controversy engendered by the cancellation and subsequent destruction of the aircraft in production, remains a topic for debate among historians, political observers and industry pundits. "This action effectively put Avro out of business and its highly skilled engineering and production personnel scattered... The incident was a traumatic one... and to this day, many mourn the loss of the Arrow."
The Arrow presented here is based on RL-206, the first Mark II with the Iroquois engine and nose contour consistent with the Hughes/Falcon radar/missile system combination. Because the Arrow never reached production status, weapon loadouts are fact based (Falcons), with some projections based on production notes and the original Astra/Sparrow combination. In addition, a rudimentary ground attack capability was given, the reasoning being to make it more palatable to the government that the Arrow was not a narrow use aircraft. The drop tank is notational, and is based on the single profile line drawing I was able to find.
Paint schemes are based on the projected operational 1960's scheme and an evolved 1970s 'Euro' scheme.
The Arrow uses the F-4 Phantom cockpit from the TW series. While not accurate in a historical sense (the Arrow pilot would not have had a radar display), the general layout, switchology and capabilities would have been similar.
Because the Arrow uses mostly internal carriage of weapons, weapon types and sizes are very constrained. If you load weapons in Weapon Group 1, you cannot load weapons in Group 2 or 3. If you load weapons in Group 2 and/or 3, you cannot load weapons in Group 1. The default loadout.ini will not give you problems...but if you start loading your own weapons, watch out for the conflicts noted above.
