I started by rebuilding and remapping the fuselage, this then lead me to rebuilding/ remapping just about every other part of the aircraft model....wings, burner cans, splitter plates and so on and on.
So to my eyes things look ok but some of you may think I've screwed up completely. If so please just delete this pack and go back to the stock TW models.
So what you get here is an alternative to the stock TW F-4B_67, this will give you an extra F-4B model to choose from. The TW stock F-4B_67 Cockpit is used.
It is set up for Air to Ground missions only, as used by the USMC at the time .So it will be pretty useless to you fighter boys.
All of the preconfigured loadouts have been created from photographs of the time or from official mission reports.
VMFA-122’s “famous” three gun pod configuration was very limited in usage and restricted to one specific aircraft in 1968: DC-7 / BuNo 148378. This aircraft is featured in this pack, again you will need to select the pre configured loadout using the mission editor.
This is a complete stand-alone aircraft but set up a little differently from the stock versions by having the TER racks for the inner wings built into the aircraft itself. 2 types wing drop tanks are also included and Chaff and flare doors are also modelled.
This causes complications with the loadout process so that it is best used with pre-built custom loadouts which become accessible when you modify a mission using the mission editor, if you dont have the mission editor you will need to buy it from the ThirdWire website.
It's very important you read the Read Me to fully understand what this model is about. there are also a couple of images to help with how things are set up.
