Royal Danish Air Force Starfighters.
This mod offers my personal approach to the Kongelige Danske Flyvevåbnet F-104 series. It is not intended to replace or compete with other packs. I recommend testing it before removing any older mods, as you may prefer one over the other.
Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure, etc.)
Installation & Requirements:
Skill Level: Basic modding skills are required (copy/pasting and managing mod folder structures).
Process: Copy and paste the specific folders into your game's directory.
Required Files: You must have a "fake pilot" installed and the original Thirdwire F-104 cockpit from the base game.
Game Menu: In-game, aircraft are listed with the.KDF. prefix - Kongelige Danske Flyvevåbnet
First upload contained only F-104G. And since I was updating some small stuff,I changed the approach to this mod. Now it contains 3 aircraft models. Early F-104G with C-2 seat, late variant with Martin-Baker seat, and CF-104.
There are a few reasons why I changed it into 3 models. It is better that way, and in the near future, when I have the cockpit finished, it will be more accurate for each model. Mod also contains 3 new models for pilot and new seats, Lockheed C-2 and Martin-Baker DQ-7A
All skins are in 4096x4096 format. You can easily resize as needed.
Decals represent historically correct serial numbers assigned to aircraft during their service in the Danish Air Force, for a specific year, squadron, etc.
In-game, you will have:
F-104G '64 early air defence fighter with C-2 ejection seat, and original position lights.
F-104G '68 air defence fighter equipped with Martin Baker DQ-7A seat. Or it was IQ-7A as some sources says, although there were a few differences between the Danish and Italian models.
CF-104 air defence fighter brought to Danish F-104G standard with small differences, like counterweights on wing pylons for safe tank jettisoning..
