自从nVidia推出最新的Forceware 175.XX/177.XX版本驱动以来, 给我们Falcon4玩家造成了很大的问题, 包括CTD, 黑屏, 不能开AA, 武器挂载页面重叠, TacRef图象错误等等...

如果你用的是8系列卡, 那么你可以返回到169.XX版本驱动, 这还比较幸运..
如果你用的是9系列或最新的GTX260/280卡, 你就无法返回到169.XX了, 唯一的办法就是关掉你的AA..
肉肉党徒们应该都知道没有AA的OF是多么的难看~
而且不仅OF, 连AF都存在同样的问题..

你可能正在暗自庆幸自己没有买9系列+的N卡, 那么你打算买A卡吗? 很不幸, 所有高端的A卡(HD4850/4870)跑OF的FPS不会超过20, 一般在15左右(并且如果你用VISTA会出现图象问题).. 所以你以后又要升级显卡又想飞F4那仍旧只有N卡可以选择, 而到那时, 估计你只能上175.XX及以上版本的驱动了..

这一切的原因是什么呢? F4的古董图象引擎用的是DirectX 6.... 并且这个引擎是不会再有人去改动了....

所以, 如果大家有精力, 应该发起一场对nVidia抱怨的全球战役! 我们花了钱, 应该得到我们想得到的!

我们可以这样做: 疯狂地写信给nVidia客服(http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/nvidia.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php)抱怨我们的问题, 让他们知道F4全球社区的存在, 重视我们的需要, 满足我们的要求进行驱动修改.

格式参考如下:

1. 解释我们遇到的问题.
2. 说明我们F4 Community是一个很大的全球用户群体.
3. ATI曾经为我们修改过驱动以解决我们的问题(刺激nVidia).
4. 可能的话提供问题截图.
5. 给出以下这些链接让他们参考:

虽然俺没有8和9系卡，不过再换肯定还是N卡，这个战役一定要赢啊！[s:46]

I have Windows XP first off - you guys really should add a way to give XP feedback.

I\'m using 177.79 drivers and Can NOT use Anti Aliasing in Falcon 4.0 - the screen just dies and goes black when I load the simulator. It is using Direct X 6.0

In Enemy Engaged, I can use Anti Aliasing, but weather I turn it on or off - I get texture shearing/tearing and random polygons in the air that blip in and out periodically for no reason at all.

It is running Direct X 7.

Us Sim Heads are a rather large community and we are ALL experiencing these issues with older versions of Direct X. PLEASE CONTACT ME for more information so we can work together to address this.

ATI did - they worked with us to fix these issues on their 4000 and 3000 series cards, now it is Nvidia\'s time to step up. Note these problems ONLY occur with the 171+ driver versions, 169 and below do not have these issues. Unfortunately, since I have upgraded to a 260 GTX - and have been a loyal customer of Nvidia for years, I am frustrated and would appreciate your help, along with many others, in getting this resolved.

8800 GTS 512MB - XP - 169.61 drivers.

I got extreme texture shimmering in Falcon 4.0, a DX 6 flight simulation.
(I don\'t need to upload a video to youtube, right?)

The only way to avoid this, is using nhancher and set supersampling to 4x4,

Texture shimmering is a problem since years on many games and is still not fixed, why?

Why do 8x multisampling or higher result in a black UI in this game?

Why do the newer drivers (174.xx and up) result in a crappy looking loadout UI?

Why should we purchase newer nVIDIA cards at all, if they don\'t work (properly) with our favorite sim?

It seems like DX compatibility is broken, regarding older DX6 games.

I\'m personally would be happy if I could fly my favorite sim with AA 4x or 8x multisampling,
but without texture shimmering. (which is\'nt possible at the moment)

We are a huge community and are flying the most realistic F-16 sim out there,
and most of us are updating our hardware periodically.

The more the guys are buying new nVIDIA cards, the more they run into problems with nVIDIA drivers.

最新消息是LP(AF的开发商)的ED_1已经开始调查这个问题, 不过他说不能保证能够修复..
所以希望还是在nVidia这边..
